Educational seminars are a new and exciting way to market Reverse Mortgages.

Cutting costs is the key to a successful seminar. In the past seminars would run at last $5,000.00, including the mailing, food, event location, etc.. By changing the "seminar style" you will be saving money and providing a tremendous service that future clients will grealty appreciate.

Educational Seminars should be marketed to smaller groups. Including churches, lodges, senior groups, small fairs, HOA meetings, sporting groups, golf groups, and the list could go on and on. The key is to market to small group using light direct mail or local ads and use word of mouth.

Setting up your educational seminar takes a little bit of planning. You need to have either an information packet or materials printed that you can share with your guests. We recommend that you have custom printed material as well as some of the FHA/HUD provided material. You can contact your lender for these brochures/books (at least our lender provides these). The custom material you need to supply on your own. We recommend a mixture of either postcards, handouts, rack cards, or brochures for print material. A good tip for print material is for you to have your name and number on every single thing you hand out, your guest will share this information with others and is good way of getting your name out there. You should also look into exploring an audio or video piece, this can be a little more costly but it can pay off in the long run. Your guest will enjoy the pieces of information you provide to them.
